Hi, I’m Susana, and I’m a UX designer.

I have been a nurse for 10 years, but I felt the need to pursuit a more balanced career and lifestyle, especially after becoming a mother.
All this time, I have been working in high-performance in very demanding contexts to fulfil the needs of the clients and the company. I am a problem-solving and purpose-driven person, always focused on delivering the best solution to people’s needs, which gives me a sense of fulfilment.

And then, why the change to UX Design?

I wanted a more balanced life and some “normal” routines, and I also needed to keep my purpose, and when I learned about UX design, it was a perfect fit!
I am a very empathic person and curious, which helps me to connect with other people and to understand which could be their needs and pain points as potential users. Furthermore, my background skills at problem-solving combined with my UX designing knowledge, encourage me to look for the most meaningful and best solutions to help them achieve their goals.
In UX Design, I can use my skills and what I learned through all my experience and still have the same feeling of fulfilment when I draw designs from scratch and see them bloom, with the same goal of helping others.
I am also used to look for inspiration everywhere for my performances as a dancer or for my oil paintings. I believe that the world can offer us a lot of new ideas if we are conscious enough to see them.
I am looking forward to collaborate as a user experience designer with an innovative and user-centred design team.

“I believe that we learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same. In each, it is the performance of a dedicated precise set of acts, physical or intellectual, from which comes shape of achievement, a sense of one's being, a satisfaction of spirit. One becomes, in some area, an athlete of God.”
